10 disastrous mistakes in home decoration!!

There are no prescribed decorating conventions written on gravel. But there are some settled upon principles of illustrious interior designers, which when we keep in mind, make our homes stunning and mesmerizing. But sometimes we do little mistakes while decorating our homes when we do not use our common sense, which results in squander of money and sometimes blunders. Here, some most common mistakes are discussed to make you aware of them so that you may not commit them.

Mistake #1:  Furniture must fit the size

The size of different items in furniture must be according to the size of room. If your room is not capable of double size bed then do not throw it into room, purchase a single bed or sofabed.

Mistake #2:  Make everything cable less

Cables should be hidden behind the furniture. Cables of TV, computer, lamps etc are the most common one which we find here and there in the rooms. If these cannot be hidden behind the furniture them assemble and roll them properly.

Mistake #3: Overloading Pictures and Paintings

Do not place a lot of pictures, paintings or wall hangings in every room rather sense the elegant arrangement that looks light and cool

Mistake #4: Too many prints

Do not use different prints for curtains, cushions, bed sheets etc; it makes your room non sense and cheap. At least have a little matching or common theme in them.

Mistake #5:  Fade out is lifeless

Do not make your room over faded through use of beaded curtains, dull wall papers and lava lamps, it will be boring ultimately. Use some bright or sharp color at least in one or two items of the room.

Mistake #6: Matching, matching and matching

Same bed sheet, same wall paint, same windows, and same furniture, same, same, and same. Don do this, it will be a disaster. Try to have little contrast in colors.

Mistake #7:  Lights

Spot the lights at the right place and do not over use or under use it. Let the sun light come into your house too. It gives a fresh and lively look to your rooms.

Mistake # 8: Clutter

Most of the times too much furniture and accessories, literally becomes too much. You should purchase few accessories and put them at right places where they suit. Do not pile up tem on a single place or shelve.

Mistake # 9: room is not a Showroom

Only place those things in your home which are in accordance with your personality. Do not try to show off through possessions which you are actually not.

Mistake # 10: Over dosing the rugs

Do not use rugs here and there, everywhere. Sometimes people put rugs even in the entrance of bathroom. Come on! Don’t be so foolish.
